1000 Children To Benefit 2018 Children Study & Play Program.. As COYPED Gets IMF Giving Together


The Consolidated Youth for Peace & Development (COYPED) with funding from the International Monetary Fund Giving Together will implement the 2018 Children Study & Play Program.


The program seeks to keep in-school children off the streets, it is also gear toward helping out of school children play safe and provide a favorable environment for a cordial interaction between in-school and out-of-school children through study/ tutorial classes, recreational activities, and sports.


The program is also designed to address the educational and social needs of vulnerable primary school children especially girls during the vacation period.


According to COYPED Executive Director, James Koryor the program will target 500 beneficiaries each form the targeted communities. Mr. Koryor also stated that Point Four Elementary School will be the host institution in New Kru Town, while The N.V. Massaquoi Public School will be the host institution in West Point.

The COYPED boss also stated that the program will be officially launched in early June before the official closing of schools to provide awareness among beneficiaries and stakeholders.


The Children Study & Play Program is a COYPED initiative that has benefited over 2000 Children since 2010. It has been supported by national and international partners over the years and this year program will be one of the best ever to be organize.
